I would definitely buy one of these. A 3D printer for under a thousand bucks?? I'm almost afraid to dig through the spec-sheets on stuff you could build with this, as it will only make my heart ache more...
Also the last two TED talks have been pretty cool - check out a demo on turning dirty water into drinkable water, and another on biomimicry (design based on nature).
