Much as I dislike Chris Mathews, I thought Stewart was inappropriate. How ironic that big-mouth Mathews discovered that listening and asking for help are keys to a better life, better jobs, friendships, etc (politically and personally) and decides to write a book about what he learned. If he had written about these same lessons from anyone other than politicians perhaps Stewart wouldn't have been so inflamed. Too bad for both of them. Even Ted Koppel commented about the interview from hell.Mom
Oh c'mon, mom! Jon always rips on Hardball, so if he gives Chris softball questions (sorry), everyone will say, "oh, you brought him on the show, endorsed his book, and let him off the hook you corporate shill". If you want to pump up book sales by going on the Daily Show or the Colbert Report, you have to take your lumps too. And while it wasn't necessarily classy, watching Stewart make Matthews look uncomfortable was well worth the price of admission.
