Check out some space age computer-y

I'm totally starting to slack on this blog, aren't I? I used to post every other day, now it seems like every other week...alas. So what's been in the news? The Pope died, did you hear? Too bad Bush already appointed Wolfowitz to the World Bank - he'd have made a great one.

Also, I saw a preview for the new Hitchhiker's Guide movie - it's been a really long time since I read those books, but the only thing you need to know is that Mos Def is Ford Prefect. As long as this performance is better than his last album, it should be good.

In other news, Google has added satellite images to their mapping features. So basically you type in your address, or city, or whatever you're looking for, and when you've found it you can click on the satellite thing and get a fairly low-resolution satellite image. For Minneapolis, you can't really see anything in downtown or in South Minneapolis very well, but the images of campus are pretty good.

Will post more later
