Making the blog rounds today...
According to a UPI article, Bill Clinton wants to become the UN Secretary-General. No American has ever held the post, and technically, it's Asia's turn!
Of course, I'm all for it, and I think the third world would benefit from having someone 'on their side' who actually has some political clout. Unfortunately, the Republicans don't need more ammuntion for making their case against supranational organizations. They already hate Clinton (even more than they hate the third world and the UN). If the UN does ANYTHING foolish (which they are somewhat prone to do, given their limited power and agenda), Clinton will immediately be villified.
