Change Congress

Larry Lessig just launched the new Change Congress project yesterday. We're trying to get the corrupting influence of money out of politics, and you can help! I've already written to Keith Ellison asking him to get behind some of the things that Change Congress stands for. Take a look at the website, read this essay by Larry Lessig to get psyched, and write your Representative a nice email (or better yet, give them a call!) explaining why you want them to become endorsed by Change Congress.

There are 4 different "levels" of support: no money from PACs/lobbyists, support a ban on earmarks, support publicly-financed campaigns, support for legislation which promotes transparency within Congress.

Also, here's an article by Wired about the movement. Joe Trippi is also part of this project - you may remember his name as being the force behind Howard Dean's early internet success.
