I had rejected the NBC translation out-of-hand, saying that it could never top the BBC edition, but I have now realized the error of my ways. It's a really funny show, and the best part is that I have so much to catch up on (I'm only halfway through season 2). It's a little weird because some of the scenes / jokes are ripped straight from the British version, but it's still somehow fresh. The characters are more likable, there are more punchlines, and the painfully awkward moments are much shorter.
P.S. Don't tell me what happens, of course

In the end someone burns the building down. Maybe that's season three though. Anyway, Steve Carell (sp?) get's my vote. I didn't like the show because it just reminded me of work, but since Steve decided not to go to work due to the WGA strike I have new found respect for the show.

it's about time you saw the other Office. I actually have recently watched the BBC's and that's funny too.
