Wow.

So it really happened. In our attempt to grab any and every ex-Celtic possible, we have traded 2 ex-Celtics for Antoine Walker, Wayne Simien, Michael Doleac, and a first-round draft pick.

So that means we have 18 players under contract, and we can only carry 15 by the end of the month. So we need to buy out some players, or pull off a 4-for-1 trade. But we're in a much better position than we were at the beginning of the season.

For one, we *had* to get rid of these two goofballs. And that's pretty much what they were...Blount had one good year and parlayed that into a long, overpriced contract and stopped trying. Ricky can't play defense and shoots without letting our offense set up. Both play positions where we have plenty of players who want to be out on the court and prove themselves.

As for Antoine, well, I've never been a fan. I don't want to watch the Wolves' promising talent stand by while Walker chucks up 3-pointer after 3-pointer. I'm hoping we buy out his contract, but that's a pretty heavy price for Glen Taylor to pay, especially after he already bought out Troy Hudson's similar deal.

Simien was a first-rounder in 2005 from Kansas, but had some knee problems last year that prevented him from getting more time, especially on a Heat team that wanted to win, not develop young talent. Doleac will be a third option at the center position, behind Ratliff and Jefferson.

I'm more psyched about my Wolves than ever. And I'm also predicting a trade that will bring us a decent point guard...we're going to be much better than most people think - some major sports website had us as the worst team in the league this year! BOO on that.
