Happy Apple Day!

That's right...it's Apple Day! New Apple products (no computers, just ipod-like stuff). Roundup:

Regular new generation iPods: 80 Gigs for $249 or 160 Gigs for $349. That's getting cheap for basically all the music you can handle.

NEW! NEW! NEW! iPod Touch! It's, erm, exactly like an iPhone, except without the phone part. You can use Wi-Fi, surf the web, watch Youtube, and buy tracks from the iTunes Music Store. If you're in a Starbucks, you can download the song playing overhead for free. it's 8mm thin. 8 Gigs for $299 or 16 Gigs for $399.

NEW! iPod nanos now have video! They're a little more square-ish than existing nanos, but they start at $149 for 4 Gigs or $199 for 8 Gigs.

8 Gig iPhone price drop to $399. 4 Gig model discontinued.

Most important part: older models will probably start to show up in the Refurbished section of the Apple Store, usually at a deep discount. I may need to upgrade my very very old 1 Gig nano...
