Also

I have a summer cold and I need to bitch about it. I hate summer colds. Not only that, but since my closest grocery store is the freakin' Wedge, it cost me like 20 bucks for oranges and OJ. And don't get me started on the lack of kiwis, an essential ingredient in my magic bullet feel-better concoctions...

Oh no!! Feel better, Anton!

My advice? Throat Coat and Cold Comfort teas by Traditional Medicinals... seriously, they're awesome. Plus EmergenC's aren't too shabby either. Add a healthy dose of whining, and you've got Megan's Sicko Special!

btw, NYE 2k6??

Megan's obviously living in the past... NYE 2k6 was cool, but not nearly as cool as NYE 2k7 will be. GWS (get well soon).

Isn't it really NYE 2k8??? New Years Eve is clearly referring to the upcoming year, so calling it NYE 2k7 is a little backwards-thinking.

I think there's only one way to settle this... (see sidebar)

Notice my vote overpower your vote. NYE clearly refers to a specific day... December 31st. Call me crazy, but I'm pretty sure that falls into the 2k7 category. get real.

Kelly,

The first thing I noticed about your comment is how wrong it is. I have never seen so many wrong things put together on one webpage before! I'm honored that you chose my comment space to spew your uniquely improper use of the English language!

The internet is no place for random opinions of the unwashed masses. It is a place for facts to reign supreme and inaccurate, obsolete ideas like yours to be blown out of the water.

You think the internet is all willy-nilly, like there aren't rules here? WRONG BUCKO.

What part of New Year's Eve 2008 don't you understand? It is the EVE of 2008!! If you'd like me to translate for you, the phrase refers to the day before 2008 is going to happen!

In closing, you're wrong.

How about NYE 2kantonsucks? is that a better name?

Whoa. While I do agree with Kelly that it is obviously NYE 2k7 (sorry for my untimely faux pas), I'm a little taken aback at the animosity this debate has sparked.

Anton, just accept that you are terribly, terribly wrong, and let's all be friends again.

As a wonderfully successful day trader, I've already memorized too many three letter abbreviations. Also NYE is far too close to NYSE, therefore I've voted for the third choice.
Except that your wording of said third choice is very poor, reminiscent of early comment rants on internet debate.
You see Madden is actually stated as "Madden 08" or "Madden 2008" while ESPN sport titles are more commonly known by their 2K status, see "ESPN NBA 2K6" or "ESPN NCAA 2K5".

Okay, people. Let's calm down. I am willing to accept when I am wrong and when I am not.

Carson, you are completely correct and I was wrong. ESPN Sports is more known for their "2K" series of games, and I apologize to the entire Madden franchise as well as ESPN for misallocating their intellectual property.

Kelly and Megan, you should learn from my example above and learn when to admit you're wrong. Like right now. BOOYAH! ANTON FTW

Why do you have to be so sexist?

Dr. Neurotic said...

Kelly, I was just wondering the same thing myself. Why is it so easy for Anton to disregard the wisdom of women? Obviously some unresolved Oedipal issues...

I hate to correct, but the name Carson can denote both sexes male or female. Not having met anyone named Knielsen or Megan in my life I'm left to conclude that the comments posted were not pondered intensely enough or without a substantial amount of time.
Anton, it takes a great man to preach something without mistake and an even greater man to realize that even great men make mistakes.
