Deficits, Gonzales (not Elian), OH recount...

Hi kids! Lots of stuff you should be reading today - I won't even get into Arafat's demise or anything like that, though the way it was portray on npr this morning was kinda disturbing. They described a raucous crowd, firing guns into the air and going completely out of control... could've been some unfortunate foreshadowing into what is next for Palestine...

Anyway, on to brighter news: Bush has ZERO chance of reducing the deficit, mostly because of a Republican-dominated Congress. There's no better time to invest in the euro...

Also, (almost) everything you wanted to know about Alberto Gonzales can be found over at the Center for American Progress.

And not to drag it out - I promise (with fingers crossed behind my back) that this will be the last article related to the election...but David Cobb and Michael Badnarik are teaming up to demand a recount in Ohio. I think the recount will tip the scales to Badnarik, who will carry the state and force Bush to create a GOP/DFL/Libertarian coalition to rule the USA. Oh, wait - we don't do that here, do we? Come to think of it, when was the last time you heard the word 'coalition' relating to U.S. politics?

I'm hungry. I'm going to lunch. Back soon.
