Also, TalkingPointsMemo makes a good case for why Edwards won the debate. I think that Edwards didn't quite have the gusto to attack Cheney on his baldheaded lies, but then again, it's not like he's debating dubya or anything. Cheney is a much more intimidating figure, capable of talking about many topics in a terminology that is difficult to counter. Cheney has the ability to talk over heads and sound smart (fortunately, he didn't show it much), while when liberals like Edwards attempt the same thing, they're immediately blasted as being "out of touch with the Amerian electorate"...
